Sport England and Sport Wales offer emergency support for flood-damaged sports clubs

Rowing clubs and facilities damaged by recent storms can now apply for grants to help them recover

With Storms Dudley, Eunice and Franklin causing disruption around the country over the last few days, including around the River Severn and the River Ouse in York, many rowing clubs have been affected.

If your club is one of these, then read on to find out how you can apply for funding.

English-based clubs

Sport England announced yesterday that sports clubs, damaged by recent storms, can apply for up to £15,000 for help from their Storm Relief Fund.

Welsh-based clubs

Sport Wales will make grants of £300 to £5000 available to support fixing damage to clubhouses, or any equipment stored outside – caused as a direct result of the recent storms.

Applications for support from Sport Wales will close at 4.30pm on Monday 28 February.
